How it got made

The brief, the room, the frame.

Lupita. A one-sheet for a comedy series pitch by No Problem Productions, made for broadcasters and funders. It came to me through a headshot client.

In On It. Daniel MacIvor’s play, with two good friends, Nathan Cuckow and Trevor Schmidt. We made the photo the script calls for, one of them laughing and one uptight, in January 2020. The pandemic arrived before the production could, and it never went up.

Cafe Wanderlust. One ensemble image for Leave It To Jane Theatre’s revue of songs about travel and vacations, directed by Kate Ryan. Leave It To Jane was the first professional company to hire me, while I was still at Grant MacEwan.

I’ll Be Here. Elena Porter’s cabaret for Broken Toys Theatre at the 2025 Fringe. The poster has her coming through the curtains.

Bright Lights. For Luc Tellier’s show at the 2024 Fringe, I climbed a sixteen-foot ladder to shoot Mhairi from a UFO’s point of view, looking down at her on real astroturf.

Dry Heat. Promo images for Dana Andersen and Matt Alden’s YouTube cop comedy, made in a no-budget style they call cine-prov. Dana and Matt were in my sketch troupe Blacklisted, which became the TV series Caution: May Contain Nuts.
