What's a headshot session like with you?

It really depends on who walks in. Some sessions are energetic and hilarious, others are calm and relaxed — mainly, they're collaborative. I work hard to meet every person where they are at to get them where they need to be. I shoot tethered directly into my computer, so we review every shot together as we go — nothing left to guess at later. Don't worry about posing or knowing what to do in front of the camera; I'll direct you through it. Sessions are booked in 2-hour blocks, though most wrap up in about an hour.

How many images do I get with the session?

You can order as many as you like — some people choose three, some choose twenty. My pricing is structured so you order the amount that works for you. I don't provide low-resolution unretouched images.

Do I need an online proofing gallery?

Selection happens together during the session, so a gallery isn't required to choose your images. If you'd like a private gallery of selects from the shoot so you can decide later, it can be added for $75 — galleries stay live for a minimum of 1 year.

Do I have to book through the scheduler?

No, not at all. The online scheduler is there for convenience. If you'd rather book by contacting me directly, just send a message. One note: times in the scheduler are live, so if you see a slot that works, the fastest way to secure it is booking online — if you email me your preferred time instead, there's a chance another client books that slot first.

Is a deposit required?

Not necessarily. Booking through the scheduler requires a deposit at the time of booking. If you'd rather not pay a deposit, just contact me directly to book.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes. If you can get 2 or more people together to book on the same day, I offer a discount off each session — the more people you bring in on the same day, the less everyone pays. Contact me to discuss rates for your group.

What should I know before my session?

Once you book, I'll send you all the details — how to find the studio, what to wear, hair and makeup tips, and what to expect during the shoot. If anything comes up before then, I'm just an email or phone call away.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is due before or on the day of the session. If that's not possible, let me know and we can work something out.
