Why a Headshot Actually Matters
I've spent twenty years as a professional actor, so I've been on the other side of this a lot: standing in front of a lens, trying not to look like I'm standing in front of a lens. That experience shapes how I run a session more than any piece of gear does. A headshot is usually the first impression a client, recruiter, or colleague has of you, on LinkedIn, a company website, or an internal directory, and people can tell within a second or two whether the person in the photo looks like themselves. When every photo across a team looks like the person in it and matches the rest, the company reads as put together before anyone's said a word.
What's Included in a Session
Every session is shot tethered, straight into a computer, so we review every photo together on the screen as we go and delete the ones you don't like. That's what gives you control of the shoot, and it's where the confidence comes from. Sessions are relaxed and efficient, with direction built in specifically to help people who don't consider themselves photogenic feel comfortable in front of the camera.
A prep guide goes out when you book, so you know what to wear and what to expect. You pick your favourites on the screen before you leave, you approve the retouching photo by photo, and the finished files arrive within five business days of your picks. What you walk away with: clean, modern headshots for LinkedIn, your company website, marketing materials, and internal use.
Your options
On your own or as a team.
Individual vs. Team Sessions
Individual sessions are ideal for professionals who need an updated headshot for LinkedIn or a personal website. These run on the standard studio rate.
Team sessions are built for companies that need consistent, professional images across multiple employees. These can run in-studio or on-location at your office, provided there's suitable space to set up, and are structured to move efficiently without anyone feeling rushed through.

Studio or On-Location?
Both are available. The studio at 5950 87 St NW offers full control over lighting and background. For larger teams, an on-location session at your office can minimize disruption to the workday. I come to offices all over the Edmonton area, including St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Leduc and Sturgeon County, and I often travel to Red Deer and Calgary. There's more on choosing between the two in In-Studio vs On-Location Team Headshots.

Who's Booked Team Headshots in Edmonton
Team and corporate sessions have been completed for organizations including TD Wealth, Qube Invest, Ballad Group, Dahrouge, Goth & Company, Appeals, Morgan Construction, All Weather, Maxwell, Romanovsky, Atlas Growers, and GRC. Qube Invest in particular has been a client since 2018, one of those relationships where the work has evolved over the years from straightforward studio headshots into environmental shots in their actual office space. For the University of Alberta Alumni Awards, the same look has held across 20 photographers in 20 cities, four years running.
How Long Does a Session Take?
Most sessions run between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on whether you need something quick and simple or want more depth in your portfolio, with enough time either way to adjust lighting and expressions without feeling rushed. On a team day it's five to ten minutes a person at your office, or fifteen to twenty in the studio, depending on the team and how you want the day to run. How to Plan a Team Headshot Day walks through the rest.
